Frequently asked questions

We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions to help you better prepare for the camps.

REGISTRATION

When does registration open?

Registration dates will be announced on our website and social media. We recommend following us to stay up to date with the latest news.

When will next year’s camp dates be announced?

As soon as we have confirmed ice time and schedules.

This depends on several factors, including arena availability and coach schedules, so timelines may vary. Updates are shared as soon as possible on our website and social media.

What happens if a camp is full?

If a camp is full, you will have the option to join a waitlist. This will be clearly indicated during registration.

How does registration work?

Spots are limited and registrations are processed in order of submission. However, placement is also based on age, level, and position to ensure balanced groups.

For example, if a large number of players from the same level register early, there may still be availability in other groups. For this reason, spots cannot be confirmed immediately.

The registration process works as follows:
1. Complete the online registration form
2. Applications are reviewed based on eligibility and group availability
3. Participants will be contacted by email once selections are finalized
4. Accepted participants will then be invited to complete payment to secure their spot

All participants will be contacted by email, whether they are accepted or not. We do our best to confirm placements as quickly as possible.

When will I know if I got a spot in the camp?

All participants will be contacted by email once selections have been finalized.

Selections are typically communicated by the end of May. If you are accepted, you will receive instructions to complete your payment and secure your spot.

Can I request to be in the same group as someone?

Yes. There is a section in the registration form where you can indicate this. We do our best to accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee it.

ELIGIBILITY

Can boys register for the camps?

No. Due to high demand our camps are open to female players only at the moment.

The only exception is the Adult Camp, which is open to both adult men and women.

My player is strong for their level, can they register for a higher level camp?

Eligibility requirements are listed on each camp page and must be respected.

If a player does not meet the listed criteria for the elite program, we recommend registering for the regular program.

Can beginners participate in the adult camp?

Yes.

Players should be able to skate, but all levels of hockey skills are welcome! Groups are adjusted to provide a positive experience for everyone.

EQUIPMENT

What equipment is required?

Full hockey equipment is required for all participants, including:

• Skates

• Stick

• Helmet with cage

• Neck guard

• Full protective gear

• Hockey socks (not provided)

Participants should also bring workout clothes and running shoes for off-ice training sessions.

Do I need to bring hockey socks?

Yes. A Ouellette Poulin Camp Hockey Jersey will be provided to all participants on the first day of camp. However no hockey socks will be provided, please bring your own.

LOCATION & LOGISTICS

Is parking available?

Yes. Paid parking is available at Concordia, and there is also street parking nearby.

Can parents stay and watch?

Yes, parents are welcome to stay during the camp.

Varia

Do you need volunteers?

We are fortunate to have a strong and consistent team each year, and volunteer needs are limited.

If you are interested, you can still reach out and we will keep your information on file.

How do we receive photos from the camp?

Photos will be shared on our social media throughout the camp.

After the camp, participants will receive a link by email to access group photos and photos of prize winners.
